It's All About Catching My Eyes? Or No?

The second photo galleries of class were due last week. After going over everyone's photo galleries, I feel like giving credits to some really well-done slideshows here.

Before starting, I have to say going over multiple photo galleries all at once tested not only how well a photo gallery keeps readers' attention but also how long the images stay in people's minds.

Among all the photo galleries my classmates made, I particularly remembered Antoinette and Bill's. Their "Top 20 activities to do over the summer" might sound ordinary just by its name, but when I really looked into what pictures they took, I could not help but kept clicking for more. They were really clever in taking winter pictures and relating those pictures to summer by captions. While looking at their pictures, I really wish the snow in Beering Fountain would just melt away so I could enjoy a fountain run with flowing water.

If Antoinette and Bill's photo gallery successfully stayed in my mind by its creativity, then Chris and Jacqui's "20 Places every Boilermaker should know about but probably doesn't" did a nice job in providing details about places on campus that I did not even know about. They used photobucket, which enabled them to write thorough photo captions without limitation. I liked their photo gallery not just because they gave me new information about a familiar environment, but the photo captions explained more of why those were the places that every Boilermakers should know.

Of course, other people did well in their photo galleries as well. But just by going through everyone's photo gallery, I say those two were the ones that I still remembered even after days. In the society that everyone is receiving so much information in a really fast pace, I say what catches my eyes is not that important anymore. What really remains in people's mind should also be considered as well, just like how Antoinette, Bill, Chris, and Jacqui did to make their photo galleries shine.
